Alta and I first met through The Compassionate Friends in 2017 during the early stages of TAGI. Since then we have worked together through our charities and we’ve become friends. Today I had the pleasure of being a guest speaker at their National Annual Gathering.
Once a year all the chapter leaders of their different groups in South Africa get together for a few days and this year it was hosted in the Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
I started my day early with them through meditation in nature. From there it was breakfast, spending time with different people and eventually it came time for me to give my speech. It was quite an emotional day but a good one. After my speech there was raffles and a candle lighting ceremony for loved ones already gone from this earth.
As part of my thank you gift, a lovely bottle of wine, I also received a bag full of goodies for TAGI – and what better gift is there for a guest speaker from TAGI?
