Cooperation agreement between TAGI and DOSA

Signing some very important documents at The Table Bay Hotel, V&A Waterfront. Nicci Coertze (Left) and Eric Elronde (Right).

I first came into contact with Nicci when TAGI was still very much in an infancy stage – If I remember correctly, at that time TAGI was still only a CSI project of my former fashion house. Unfortunately we were unable to assist her, or doulas in general, as we simply did not have the capacity for such an undertaking. Fast forward to almost 2 years later and just look how privileged we are; Successfully supporting almost 40 hospitals across 7 provinces, as well as 2 in Namibia.

Since then Nicci kept in contact and we even built a friendship. She held a dress drive for us, we are included in her training (a first for us) and now we are proud to announce that we will, in another first for us, expand beyond hospitals and start working with DOSA Doulas directly. It is through this collaboration that TAGI will be able to assist more members of the public, and hopefully also create awareness of the great work a properly trained Doula brings to any pregnancy, not only those that end in infant loss.

Nicci has been very patient, understanding and extremely helpful in cementing the foundation for this collaboration between TAGI and DOSA Doulas. For that we genuinely thank her. We also thank the entire DOSA team for their assistance. May we all continue to grow from strength to strength in this beautiful new collaboration.

The official press release is below and all credit goes to Nicci Coertze for writing it up – I could not put it better myself. If you would like to apply please feel free to contact me directly on and I will send through the necessary paperwork.

Eric Elronde and the TAGI team

On 31st March, 2019, The Angel Gown Initiative (TAGI) and Doulas Of South Africa (DOSA) signed a cooperation agreement on the distribution of Angel Gowns by DOSA Doulas who meet certain TAGI criteria.  It was signed at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.

The signing of this document proves the high level of trust between TAGI and DOSA and it reflects the spirit of genuine strategic partnership to serve bereaved parents in South Africa.  The agreement shows the striving of TAGI and DOSA to expand bilateral cooperation on one of the most important aspects of assisting bereaved parents mourn the loss of their precious babies.

TAGI and DOSA come from a common position on serving bereaved parents throughout South Africa and both parties are delighted about their partnership.
